Editorial Policy

We write every description and guide ourselves. A kit gets a short, plain name, because a title of a hundred characters serves a search box, not a person choosing a doorbell.

A specification says what the kit does: how far it reaches in open air, how many melodies it plays, what is in the box. We do not round a figure up, and we say plainly what a kit will not do.

For health and housing questions we go to the bodies that study them: the Alzheimer's Association for wandering, the Environmental Protection Agency for indoor humidity. Our guides quote their pages and link to them.
